Do you remember where you were when you first heard about The Lady Astronaut of Mars? We do. While we can’t send you to the moon, we can provide you with a limited edition print of Dr. Elma York from Mary Robinette Kowal's Lady Astronaut series, done in the art nouveau style, featuring the moon in its phases and the Lunar Lander.
The Hebrew text, a tribute to Elma’s Jewish heritage, is an excerpt from קידוש לבנה, the Sanctification of the Moon. The same text appears in English within the arch of moons. It reads:
And of the moon G-d said: it should renew itself as a crown of glory for those born of the womb, for they are destined to recreate themselves just as it does.
These 11”x14” prints from Geek Calligraphy are part of a limited edition run of only 100 art prints. Each print is matted on a black, archival-safe mat and comes ready to hang or frame.
