I am in love with the character of Auri, from Patrick Rothfuss’ \u003cem\u003eThe Slow Regard of Silent Things\u003c\/em\u003e, and I had been wanting to do a solo painting of her for some time. At the time I had challenged myself to paint something in the style of William-Adolphe Bouguereau, a painting hero of mine.
