“The faint ring of leather and metal seemed a whisper of its name: Saicere. It felt light in my hand. The blade was flawless. I slid it back into its sheath and the sound was different. It sounded like the breaking of a line. It said: Caesura.”

― Patrick Rothfuss, The Wise Man’s Fear

Officially licensed by Kingkiller Chronicle series author Patrick Rothfuss, these replicas of Kvothe’s Ademic sword Caesura were created by Jalic Blades and are part of a first edition of 5000 pieces, each engraved with the edition number. All swords come with a display plaque and a certificate of authenticity personally autographed by Patrick.

WARNING This sword is for display only, and is not a toy. Please keep away from children. Especially the pointy part.

This is one of our most popular items, and is often difficult to keep in stock! Several cosplayers have even made videos featuring the blade:

Less Than Perfect Packaging? Occasionally we receive swords with blemished boxes and sell them at a discount. Damage can include a crinkled edge or small puncture to the box. The swords are well packed, so there is no damage to the sword or display hanger themselves. Select the option to see price and availability.

Patrick Rothfuss was born in Madison, Wisconsin to awesome parents. After nine years at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, he accidentally had enough credits to graduate with an English degree. Patrick then went to grad school. He’d rather not talk about it. In March 2007, The Name of the Wind was published and met with surprising success. In the years since, it has been translated into 30 languages, won all manner of awards, and become a bestseller in several countries. After a great deal of work and a few raised eyebrows from his patient editor, Wise Man’s Fear came out in March 2011, immediately hitting #1 on the New York Times Bestseller list. When not working on the third book of the series, Pat plays with his kiddos, makes mead, and runs Worldbuilders, a geek-centered charity that has raised more than a million dollars for Heifer International.
