First introduced in The Wise Man’s Fear, Tak players can gain an even deeper understanding of the game with the Tak: Companion Book written by game creators Patrick Rothfuss and James Ernest of Cheapass Games with illustrations by Nate Taylor.
This book touches on the game's origins, and explains the ancestry and meaning of various types of pieces. It also contains an expanded rules section describing regional game variations, as well as strategy hints and terms for various plays and combinations, plus a lot of extra goodies.
The book is available in hardcover and e-book formats.
The hardcover format is 8.5" square and features a 5x5 hybrid game board (diamonds and squares) on the back cover, designed by Pete Venters. It's a great addition to the Tavern Pieces, making it easy to take Tak wherever you go! (Please note that the Companion Book does not come with any game pieces.)
If you purchase the e-book format, it will be delivered to you via email, so make sure to enter your email address carefully!
